Light Between is a prefabricated CLT modular housing system that explores the spatial tension between density and openness. Heavy, self-supporting core modules anchor essential services and private programs, creating grounded moments of enclosure. Between them, light-filled atriums introduce air, transparency, and communal connection, producing a rhythmic sequence of compression and release.
Designed for multi-story urban applications, the system reduces embodied carbon by prioritizing mass timber over concrete. Core infrastructure units are prefabricated and craned into place for efficiency, while atriums are constructed on site, allowing flexibility across residential, co-living, and mixed-use typologies.
