Kerrytown Bodega proposes a market for Ann Arbor's Kerrytown district organized as a bodegón — simultaneously a still life painting of humble objects and a vernacular tavern where  people gather to eat and enjoy. Four forms derived from market goods (fish head, wine bottle, cheese wedge, bread loaf) are boolean-aggregated into a single building, each housing its corresponding program. The figures retain formal autonomy while producing generous shared voids at their intersections. Where the forms touch, the building opens — drawing people in, gathering them at the table. The project celebrates cultural specificity, narrative, and the quiet dignity of ordinary things.
