Industrial farms and circus spectacles, alike, tra- ditionally operate as systems of domination; over land, animals, and machines. Schemes of contr- ol, display, and extraction underscore faulted relationships between humans and their nonhu- man counterparts. The work discusses nonhum- an agency and the possible generosities and re- ciprocities that arise when humanistic dominati- on schemes lose their grip. Reorganization of inter-species social hierarchies, the ethical com- plications of hybridization, and a desire to be bo th seen and hidden are all at play. These spect spectacular creatures; slippery lands, machines, buildings, biomechanical amalgamations alike,  have a complicated but seemingly amicable relationship with their human counterparts. The project is a sort of coming of age for these creat- ures in a world that has the possibility of being kinder and more egalitarian in spite of its faults.
