This house is a proposal of an alternative to the construction company “model house,” today’s version of the catalogue home. The proposed house exploits the possibilities of advancements in construction techniques to offer a sculptural, highly functional house with a twist. Inspired by the surrealist furniture of Allan Wexler, the house is clad in a custom picket fence paneling and corrugated metal roof. The windows align to the ruled surface angles of the exterior cladding, creating a whimsical facade.
