Flow is the fieldhouse’s primary ambition: of terrain, players, and sound. Three open courts step down towards the riverbank, mediated by bumpers on either side that absorb and release activity. Circulation unfolds as a gradual descent where ramps guide youth and spectators through a continuous drift of activity. Above, a kinetic roof slips between courtyard, court, and riverfront field, inspired by the rhythm of the nearby dam. Surrounded by schools of every age, the fieldhouse becomes a shared backyard for the neighborhood. Private lessons blur into pick up games, and the community gathers in a continuous current.
