Spatially coordinated around the lines of the basketball court, this fieldhouse fosters multiple identities of youth living. In addition to basketball programming, two adjacent bars of program create study and rest spaces. The three resulting volumes relate through viewing axes that both connect and delineate, responding to major points on the court such as the center and free-throw lines.
One primary ramp provides access on one side to wheelchair-accessible court viewing, and on the other auxiliary library space. While the quiet space is flush with the ground, elevated topography on the building's opposing side creates a loosely-programmed exterior viewing area.
