This project rethinks what density in downtown Chicago could look and feel like. It combines housing and public programs within a timber framework that extends beyond the enclosed spaces and becomes a scaffold for plants, light, and movement. Circulation happens through open corridors and shared gardens, encouraging interaction and slowing down the pace of the city. Rather than separating architecture from nature, the project imagines density as something breathable, layered, and constantly growing.
