This eight-story cultural center produces community through visual connection. The double-glazed façade becomes a occupiable perimeter zone, or circulation ring, creating an expanded threshold between inside/outside and connecting to the exterior stair/elevator core. Organized on a strict four-square grid, shifting floor plates (one to three quadrants at a time) create multi-height voids so activities remain visible across multiple levels. Solid interior stair blocks, housing smaller programs beneath, read as sculptural objects within an otherwise transparent volume. The adjacent existing building is kept as the theater, connected via a recessed link, preserving the separate identities of the new and the old.
